How to bring water to the desert and make sure there is enough of it for both crops and livestock? This has puzzled the locals of the Indian state of Rajasthan for centuries. But finally there was a breakthrough project of Chauka System making use of rainwater collection and its use in long-term drought afflicted plains. What makes it unique is the fact that scientifically uneducated and inexperienced people using the error and trial method developed it. This project is unique in the world and admired by experts both from India and abroad.
